Zaeen Khan

Director & Principal

With nearly 25 years of experience, Zaeen Khan is a seasoned expert in the energy sector. His comprehensive career includes pivotal roles in shaping market policies and regulatory frameworks across Australia’s energy markets.

Zaeen's extensive expertise covers designing market rules, conducting regulatory reviews, and providing strategic advice on regulatory and pricing issues. He
has held significant positions advising ministers and cabinets and has led task forces and committees
focused on energy sector reforms, particularly towards integrating renewable energy.

As the former head of the Western Australian Governments energy department until 2019, Zaeen spearheaded major reforms and managed supply disruptions as Coordinator of Energy.

His earlier contributions at the Australian Energy Market Commission and other senior roles at the Queensland Competition Authority and the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of New South Wales have deeply influenced economic and regulatory frameworks in the energy, water, and transport sectors.

Savneel Pratap

Senior Consultant – Renewable Energy

Savneel Pratap is an accomplished electrical engineer with a decade of experience in renewable energy systems, including design, construction, grid integration, and regulatory oversight.

His career spans significant projects from conception to operational management, particularly influencing renewable technology adoption within national frameworks in Fiji and the broader Pacific region.

Savneel holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Project Management from the University of the South Pacific. He is a Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia (MIEAust), the Institute of Engineers New Zealand (MEngNZ), and the Fiji Institute of Engineers (FIE).

Prashant Sarup

Senior Consultant

Prashant Sarup is a highly regarded economic and regulatory expert with nearly a decade of experience across the energy, telecommunications, transportation, and infrastructure sectors, with a strong focus on the Pacific region. His expertise spans economic and market analysis, regulatory assessments, financial analysis, and policy guidance for government agencies, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

Prashant has extensive experience in developing regulatory cost-of-service models, conducting both quantitative and qualitative research, and leading major market reform initiatives. His proficiency in modelling and forecasting revenue and pricing impacts has played a key role in supporting strategic decisionmaking across various regulated sectors, particularly within the energy industry.

He holds Executive Masters of Business Administration and is Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) accompanied with other certifications.
